Nani Gutiérrez was born in Santiago de Chile, where she studied visual arts at the Universidad de Chile.

Nani Gutiérrez is a visual artist based in Berlin, currently enrolled in the M.A Design and Computation program at the Universität der Künste. In her work, she explores affective stimulations that trigger mimetic reactions, becoming a relational organising power. Her videos have been shown at the Ars Electronica Festival and at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile (MAC). She also performs live audiovisual shows with experimental electronic music composer Hainbach at venues such as Kantine am Berghain and Barbican Hall.
